Want an easy upgrade to heat recovery in your kitchen? An Ambientika unit can replace the existing kitchen extractor fan after enlarging a standard-sized 150mm (6”) hole in the external wall to 160mm.

Don’t have access to the external wall? You can run an extension tube of the same diameter through an adjacent room to reach the outside wall. The extension tube can be up to 3m long if it is straight or 2.5m if there is a bend along the way.

Smart Mode: Intelligent Ventilation

Based on measurements taken from 4 integrated sensors within the unit, the ventilation system independently decides how best to ventilate the space in order to achieve perfect air quality indoors.

The integrated sensors are the following:

• Internal temperature sensor;
• Humidity sensor;
• Twilight sensor;
• VOC sensor (this “air quality” sensor does not directly detect CO₂, but it does allow for a good approximation of carbon dioxide measurement through detection of volatile organic compounds)

The measurement values are compared online with the nearest weather station.

Additional automatic functions in Smart mode:
When these three conditions occur at the same time…
Indoor temperature > 24 °C
Outdoor temperature > 20 °C
Outdoor T < indoor T
…the ventilation system switches to “summer mode” and only works in FREE COOLING mode without heat recovery.

When it is dark in the master ventilation unit room, the whisper-quiet night mode is automatically activated.
